WFP Logistics Support Unit - Aceh and Nias

WFP Logistics Support Unit forms a component of the WFP global organization, is a special operation that evolved from the shipping service. The L.S.U is focused on offering logistics consultancy and planning, through knowledgeable port captains, and the rental of specialized all terrain equipment to organizations involved in the rehabilitation initiatives in Aceh and Nias. In addition to the overall logistics support, WFP L.S.U is undertaking detailed assessments of 15 identified ports, which will lead to the procurement of training modules and trainers to develop the operational, support and management skills of the ports in Aceh and Nias. The identification of training needs is linked to the physical and rehabilitation of the ports and transport infrastructure of Aceh and Nias.
